More than 20 masters of folklore art from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, folklore and ethnographic ensembles from various regions of Uzbekistan, famous scientists are taking part at the festival.

This festival, held on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan on an international scale, plays an important role not only for socio-political but also for cultural and spiritual unification of Central Asian countries with similar traditions and customs, and centuries-old values.

There is a special meaning in holding the festival in the historic complex “Chashma” in Nurata district, which attracts attention of the world as a source of spirituality due to its centuries-old rich history. This sacred place has been known since ancient times as the abode of spirituality, the center of culture, in which folk applied art is intertwined with customs and traditions of our great ancestors.

The festival is significant in that it promotes folklore and art of bakhshi, forms a sense of national pride and devotion to the Motherland in the younger generation.

Famous representatives of Bakhshi school – Ergash Djumanbulbul ugli, Pulkan shoir, Rakhmatullo Yusuf ugli, Islom shoir lived and worked on the territory of Navoi region, which causes a legitimate sense of pride among people of Navoi. Today, many young talents are engaged in studying their heritage.

The International Folklore Festival “Nurli Navolar” helps to join in the art of storytellers, bakhshi, who came from different countries, as well as regions of the country.
