The Hokimiyat of Navoi region, together with the Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan, held the First Navoi National Food Fest.
At the festival, culinary specialists who arrived from all cities and districts of the region demonstrated their skills.
Folklore groups in the pavilion organized by each region represented local customs and traditions and performed national songs. The exhibition of handicrafts also made a great impression on the guests.
Experienced chefs prepared dishes typical of their region in a specially designated area. The international jury assessed their appearance, method of serving, and, of course, taste.
According to the final decision of the jury, 3rd place was awarded to Sanat Ruziyev from Karmana district for the dish “Hunting Meat”, 2nd place – to the cook of the monocenter “Ishga Markhamat” Farkhod Beknayev for the dish “Oriental Delight” and 1st place – to the cook of the hotel “Zarafshan” in Navoi city Akrom Toshpulatov for the original assorted meats.
All winners were awarded cash rewards and valuable gifts from the organizers.
