Fine Arts Gallery of Uzbekistan hosted an exhibition of memory “I am an Uzbek artist”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, sculptor Jalalitdin (Ravshan) Mirtajiyev.
Jalalitdin Tursunovich Mirtajiyev was born in 1954 in Tashkent. In 1972, he graduated from the sculpture department of the Republican Art College named after P.P. Benkov, and in 1977 – Tashkent State Theater and Art Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky. Jalalitdin (Ravshan) Mirtajiyev has been awarded several state awards for his contribution to art.
Jalalitdin Mirtajiyev created numerous sculptures during his activity. His works – monuments of A. Navoi in Moscow (2002), Tokyo (2004) and Baku (2008), Kamoliddin Behzod in China (Changchun), Mirzo Ulugbek (2004) and Abu Ali ibn Sina in Riga (2006), Al-Fergani in Cairo (2007) with their spiritual and educational significance, glorification of national identity and artistic value glorified the achievements of national sculpture throughout the world.

At the exhibition, the visitors became familiar with artworks by an outstanding Uzbek artist Jalalitdin Mirtajiyev.


According to the National Bank, the exhibition will run until March 15 this year.
