Mayor of Namangan region Shavkat Abdurazzakov visited the village of Nanay in Yangikurgan district, where he got acquainted with tourism development projects. He also examined the Podshoota River, which is the main water artery of the district.

This natural river originates in the Chatkal mountains. The width of the river is 50-200 meters, the length from neighboring Kyrgyzstan is 130 kilometers, a part of the river 1300 meters long flows through the territory of Nanay. The Nanay-Zarkent part is 14 kilometers. 

The head of the region recommended paying special attention to the improvement of the coastal territory of the sai, training attributes that contribute to the development of sports and the improvement of the masses, the preparation of proposals for the above works, and instructed officials to accelerate the implementation of the project.

Nanay has a high potential for tourism development, we need conceptual approaches that include all local conditions”, said the head of the region. – For our part, we are ready to resolve issues of connection to energy networks, utilities. What is required from the initiators is desire and action. 130 hotel houses, recreation areas, cafes of national dishes and campsites in the village of Nanay, which has a special place in the domestic tourism of the country, serve tourists.

At the presentation, the projects of the initiators Ravshanoy Abdurazzakova and Bayez Sharipov for the development of a cable car and equestrian sports in “Qayroqi” mahalla aroused particular interest.

Proposals for obtaining loans and subsidies were announced to implement the above projects.

After the implementation of the projects, about one thousand citizens will be employed, and the flow of tourists will increase.
