On September 9, the Belbogli Kurash World Championships among men and women for the prize of the President of Uzbekistan kicked off in Namangan.

This prestigious competition is held at the initiative of the Ministry of Sports Development together with the International Belt Wrestling Association, Uzbekistan National Olympic Committee, Namangan region’s Hokimiyat, the Regional Prosecutor’s Office and Belbogli Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan.

Namangan welcomed the athletes from Georgia, Belgium, Iran, Russia, Pakistan, China, Italy, Türkiye, Cameroon, Brazil, Moldova, India, Mongolia, Latvia, Estonia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

Men’s championships are held in eight and women’s championships in five weight categories.
