The joint venture Vodiy ipak gilam in the village Jiydakapa of Uychi district of Namangan region has established the production of carpets on the basis of national handicraft technologies.

"Four masters can weave one carpet depending on its size and quality within six months to a year," says the Director of the joint venture Vodiy ipak gilam Elmurod Mamadaliyev. "The company's products manufactured by carpet weaving traditions of Bukhara, Samarkand and Kokand, are mainly intended for export."

It employs more than fifty people, mostly graduates of professional colleges.
