“Muynak: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”
12:50 / 2025-07-10

The photo exhibition entitled “Muynak: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” has opened at the Tashkent House of Photography.

The project is organized by the Uzbekistan National News Agency in cooperation with the Academy of Arts, Uzarchive Agency, National Archive of Film, Photographic and Sound Documents of Uzbekistan, and Tashkent House of Photography.

The exhibition presents historical and modern photographs that tell the story of this city, located on the southern shore of the Aral Sea, including its history of drying up and the efforts being made to restore life in this area.

The new photographs reflect the modern appearance of Muynak, the changes that have occurred as part of the Aral Sea restoration program initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. These reforms are significant because they include environmental, infrastructural, social, and cultural projects aimed at the sustainable development of the region.

The exhibition allows one to view Muynak not only as a territory affected by the severe consequences of the Aral Sea’s drying up, but also as a city taking a confident step towards the future, becoming a center of sustainable development, new solutions, and hope.
