A meeting took place between the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, Aziz Abdukhakimov, and the delegation of the People’s Republic of China led by the Executive Chairman of the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce for Chinese Entrepreneurs, Liu Yu.

At the meeting, Mr. Abdukhakimov noted that Uzbekistan and China are taking relations to a new level of comprehensive strategic partnership.

“It is gratifying to note that the Intergovernmental Agreement on Cooperation in Environmental Protection, signed during the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China, not only strengthens the regulatory framework for cooperation, but also opens up new horizons for enhancing interaction”, Mr. Abdukhakimov noted.

At the meeting, Chinese entrepreneurs shared their plans for cooperation with the Uzbek side, including projects for the construction and production of wastewater treatment equipment, maintenance of engineering facilities that require noise reduction, cooperation in railway transport, energy, oil and gas, etc.
