Delegation of Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center (MUIC) visited the Hi-Tech Park in Belarus, which is considered one of the largest IT clusters in Central and Eastern Europe.

Delegation of Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center (MUIC) visited the Hi-Tech Park in Belarus, which is considered one of the largest IT clusters in Central and Eastern Europe.

Activities of the park and monitoring the work of its residents, as well as the Decree of the President of Belarus “On development of the digital economy” of December 21, 2017 were discussed at the meeting. This document contains a list of 36 types of activities that can be engaged by park residents. Representatives of the park noted that this list was developed in cooperation with specialists of IT companies and corresponds to national classification.

A meeting was held with EPAM Systems leadership, which is one of the largest representatives of IT outsourcing in Belarus.

MUIC representatives held talks with SoftClub – a developer of integrated solutions for banks, e-commerce and exchange industry, and LWO – international supplier of solutions for any business verticals. Cooperation issues on various projects in ICT, establishing partnership with MUIC residents were discussed, as well as possibility of opening representative offices of these companies in the territory of Uzbekistan was studied during the negotiations.
