In the town of Karshi, the Qashqadaryo Regional stage of the “most exemplary adviser of neighbourhood citizens’ gatherings for religious enlightenment, moral and behavioural education” contest has taken place.

This contest was arranged at the initiative of the Mahalla public charity foundation and by a number of departments and establishments. 14 advisers for religious enlightenment and moral and behavioural education competed in this contest in three exercises.

In presentations, special attention was paid to moral enlightenment work in neighbourhoods, the strengthening of families, the prevention of early marriages and marriages between close relatives, job creation for young people and the further stepping up of cooperation between families, neighbourhoods and educational establishments.

Nasiba Jabborova, the adviser of the “Aerodrome” neighbourhood citizens’ gathering for religious enlightenment and moral and behavioural education in Dehkonobod District, achieved first place and obtained the right to participate in the republican phase of the contest.

“In bringing up our children to be physically healthy and morally mature, cooperation between families, neighbourhoods and educational establishments are of important significance,” says Nasiba Jabborova.

Constant attention is also paid to the provision of comprehensive support for women, the development of work from home and the widening of the ranks of female entrepreneurs.

As part of this event, an exhibition of items of national craftsmanship and applied arts was arranged. These items were produced in neighbourhoods.
