On November 25, Moscow hosted the 27th meeting of the Council of Heads of State News Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency A. Aslanov, Director of Armenpress News Agency A. Ananyan, Director General of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency I. Akulovich, Editor-in-Chief of Kazinform International News Agency B. Tanelbayeva, Director General of Kyrgyz National News Agency Kabar K. Taabaldiyev, Director of the National News Agency of Tajikistan S. Siddiq, and from the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Director of Information and Analytics Department A. Zavarzin and the Head of the Information and Informatization Department I. Grigoryev, as well as the First Deputy Director General of TASS M. Gusman and the Head of the CIS and Baltic States Department at TASS B. Grushin.
Opening the meeting, TASS Director General S. Mikhailov noted that it was very pleasant that the Director General of Uzbekistan National News Agency Abdusaid Kuchimov was taking part for the first time.
S. Mikhailov presented the report “On preparations for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Second World War Victory 1941-1945”.

The meeting continues its work. A meeting of the leaders of the CIS State News Agencies with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev is planned.
