On April 20, Moscow hosted consultations on regional security issues at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Uzbekistan was represented by a delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov.

The participants discussed issues of ensuring security in the SCO space, as well as exchanged views on the current regional and international issues.

The main attention was paid to the coordination of efforts of the SCO Member States in the Afghan direction.

The delegations were informed about the implementation of the priorities of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the SCO, the main events being held and the elaboration of draft documents planned for signing at the Organization's Samarkand Summit in September this year.
