The meeting of the Russia – Uzbekistan Business Council was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

The meeting was chaired by the President of the Chamber Sergey Katyrin with the participation of the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maksim Reshetnikov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Botirjon Asadov, representatives of federal executive authorities, as well as Russian business.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan noted that the actively growing mutual trade is characterized by the supply of goods with high added value.

Mr. Maksim Reshetnikov emphasized that Uzbekistan for Russia is more than a reliable economic partner. “We are united by long-established friendly ties and mutual respect – this has always strengthened our cooperation”, the minister said.

Speaking about the importance of the activities of the Russia – Uzbekistan Business Council, Mr. Maksim Reshetnikov introduced the President of ER-Telecom Holding JSC Andrey Kuzyaev as a new Co-Chairman of the Council from the Russian part.

The parties discussed issues of further developing the Business Council and expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan.
