More effective international projects
11:13 / 2024-01-05

In recent years, the number of projects implemented with the support of international financial institutions has increased.

A reliable basis for this is the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to implement the project “Development of Rural Entrepreneurship – 2nd Phase” with the participation of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association” of July 13, 2022.

“By the resolution, loan funds will be allocated through joint-stock commercial banks Microcreditbank, Business Development Bank, Asaka Bank, and Turonbank, participating in the financing of small and medium-sized business projects”, says Regional Project Management Coordinator Shahrukh Amonov.

As part of this resolution, $4.5 million was allocated to 29 business entities in the Bukhara region working in agriculture, food processing, services, textiles, handicrafts, women’s entrepreneurship, transport logistics, working capital, and tourism.

Practical work in this direction will continue with assistant hokims and relevant commercial banks.
