The Month of Patronage began in primary health care facilities of our country.

The purpose of this medical-social action, organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is to continue the further improvement of medical and social services provided for population, the provision of health care for women of childbearing age, pregnant women, children, people in need of constant care, lone elderly, disabled persons, the chronically ill and vulnerable patients.

The action, which took place in the family polyclinic №3 in Mirabad district of the capital, was conducted at the high organizational level. The facility, constructed in accordance with modern requirements and recently commissioned, provides with medical and social services residents of 12 mahallas. The medical facility employs 50 general practitioners and patronage nurses, specialists in more than 10 medical specialties.

Along with the residents of the nearby mahallas, family polyclinic provides primary health care to pupils and students of 19 pre-school educational institutions, schools, colleges and lyceums.

A good result in the organization of patronage activities gives the interaction between family polyclinic and mahallas, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations. The result of this is the stability of sanitary-epidemiological situation, ensuring the prevention, medical and social protection of motherhood and childhood.

The Month of Patronage is an important factor in the implementation of large-scale tasks, aimed at protecting human health.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in primary health care facilities was carried out active preparation for next month of patronage. The medico-social action, which runs until August 11, will be attended by over 30 thousand general practitioners and patronage nurses, specialists in more than 30 directions of medicine.

During the Month of Patronage in addition to preventive visits in conjunction with gatherings of citizens of mahallas, will be explored medical and social condition of families, health-related problems, the factors that contribute to the occurrence of disease, as well as will be developed appropriate measures to eliminate existing deficiencies.

In the mahallas, educational institutions and enterprises will be held events, dedicated to the prevention of diseases and the basics of a healthy lifestyle, with the participation of mahalla activists, representatives of the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan, the Fund of Social Support Veterans “Nuroniy”, the Public Youth Movement “Kamolot”, the education system and other non-governmental non-profit organizations.
