The “Renaissance Press” Tashkent Publishing House published a monograph in Russian by the Executive Director of the “Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan” Friendship Society, a Professor of Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami Erkin Nuriddinov and a young Azerbaijani scientist working in Uzbekistan, Candidate of Historical Sciences Azer Adigezalov on “Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan: Historical aspect of cultural and spiritual interaction between fraternal peoples”.
The monograph, published based on the project of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan, contains specific historical facts relating to interaction, cultural and spiritual cooperation, interstate relations, official state documents, archival materials from ancient times to the present day.
The work gives a broad overview of relations both during the Soviet period and after gaining independence.
The authors emphasize the role of public organizations in the process of cultural exchange.
The monograph is intended for a wide range of readers interested in bilateral cultural relations as one of the components of international relations and foreign policy, as well as specialists, teachers, graduate students and students of relevant specialties and faculties of higher education institutions.
The monograph will be presented during the year in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
