An old stadium in the centre of Sirdaryo Region’s Boyovut District has been reconstructed and commissioned.

At an event conducted on this occasion, it was noted that special attention being paid to the construction of modern sports complexes in the country, the establishment of various clubs at them and the wide attraction of young people to sports was making it possible for the younger generation to realize their potential and talent.

The Uzbekistan Children’s Sport Development Foundation has spent 1 billion 564 million soms on the stadium, and all the necessary conditions have been created there. Builders of the Javohir-Farhod hamkor servis privately-owned enterprise carried out the building and reconstruction work. Football, basketball, volleyball and handball fields, running tracks, coaches’ and referees’ rooms, 1,000 seats for spectators and a small gym there have all the necessary equipment.

“This completely reconstructed stadium has been handed over to our school. There are even wider opportunities now for nearly 1 thousand 400 pupils of our school to engage in sports on a regular basis. The foundation gave the school 59 types of sports items worth nearly 75 million soms,” says the director of the Boyovut District children’s and teenagers’ sports school, R.Kholiqnazarov.
