After the President’s visit...
Farmers who know their business always get rich harvests. At the present stage, climate change, an increase in soil salinity, and other environmental problems strongly impact sown lands. To solve problems, modern approaches are required.
Soil cultivation without knowledge of the level of its contamination, in most cases, leads to unnecessary costs and becomes a cause of loss of time and fruitless work. In preventing such situations, modern laboratories for determining the condition of the soil play an important role. Such a laboratory has been opened in Bukhara.
The conditions created in it, modern technical equipment and, most importantly, the specialists working here, who know their business perfectly, deserve attention. This laboratory is one of the successful projects of the agrocluster.
On August 10-11, during a trip to Bukhara region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of several enterprises included in the Bukhoro Agrocluster.
The Bukhoro Agrocluster DZZ operating in Bukhara is one of the successful links in the cluster. After the President’s visit, we got acquainted with the enterprise’s activities and talked with specialists.
A technological chain has been established here – from deep milk processing, packaging, and delivery of products to the consumer.
The modern complex was built on a vacant lot with a $6.2 million investment.
– High-tech lines and equipment from leading companies in Italy and Russia are installed here, – said the Chief Engineer of the enterprise, Sunnat Murodov. – The results are promising. The enterprise processes 22 thousand tons of milk per year. More than 40 products are produced – kefir, pasteurized milk, cheese, yogurt, cream, and sour cream. Over a hundred people have been employed. Good pay, excellent working conditions.
The scale of production and the diversity of products positively affect the entrepreneur’s income. The enterprise produces products worth 172 billion UZS a year. Budget revenues amounted to 1.5 billion UZS. An increase in income contributes to the expansion of the enterprise.
A new building was built on the territory of the production complex. Solar panels have been installed over a large area. This covers twenty percent of the electricity consumed by the enterprise. Additional investment projects are being implemented. A modern laboratory for the study of soil fertility was launched. Compared to other regions, Bukhara region has a higher salinity of sown lands. Therefore, it is essential to analyze the soil to improve fertility.
– The President examined the laboratory, which has modern equipment of the European standard, – said the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov. – More than forty analyzes of soil composition, ten – indicators of water, quality of mineral fertilizers is carried out here. The chemical composition of the soil is investigated, and the need for plants in minerals and organic fertilizers is determined. Based on the results, measures are taken to normalize the composition of the soil. The Head of state instructed to create such laboratories in other territories of the country.
The collected data is uploaded to the “Agro Smart Map Uz” platform, another project of the enterprise. Based on these data, farmers receive the necessary agro-technological recommendations.
The laboratory can conduct the corresponding analysis of 300 hectares of soil. The work results are essential for obtaining high yields in the region’s agricultural sector.
