Nurafshan hosts the Session of Tashkent Regional Council of People’s Deputies.

The candidate for the post of Hokim of the region Z. Mirzayev touched upon the issues of infrastructure development.

The Head of the state gave the task to adopt within two weeks a program for the repair of internal roads in 840 mahallas, drinking water supply and sewage networks in 579 mahallas, electricity and gas supply in 589 mahallas, schools, kindergartens and polyclinics in 396 mahallas.

This includes the following:

– allocation of 150 billion UZS for projects that received the largest number of votes within the initiative budget;

– launching the third phase of the Asian Development Bank’s Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Project worth $185 million in Tashkent region;

– allocation of 155 billion UZS from the state budget and an additional 70 billion UZS from the local budget for the repair of internal roads.

The President emphasized that the time has come to launch a modern electric train to the cities of Bekabad, Olmaliq, Chirchiq, Angren, Yangiyul and Akhangaran. The Head of the state instructed the Minister of Transport to submit a draft of the relevant resolution.
