In the run-up to the New Year holiday, a modern complex for fencing was put into use in Andijon.

It was said during the opening ceremony of the complex that large-scale work being carried out on the further popularization of physical training and sport among the population, especially among young people, on the construction of new sports complexes and on the strengthening of their material and technical base was producing high results.

This complex including training and tournament halls, locker and shower rooms as well as a 50-room hotel was built by builders of the Andijon Tezkor Qurilish LLC of Andijon.

“For the construction of this complex which has all modern conveniences, 5 billion 61 million soms was spent. In this facility that meets international requirements, the necessary infrastructure and all conveniences were created for training in fencing,” says the manager of the the Andidon Tezkor Qurilish LLC, Azizbek Ghofurov.

Exhibition performances by young sportsmen and master-classes by those who will be participating in the 2017 World Fencing Championship in Germany were found to be impressive by those gathered at the ceremony.

The hokim (governor) of Andijon Region, Sh.Abdurahmonov, made a speech during the event.
