A session of Navoiy district electoral commission No 5 for the elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has taken place in Navoiy.

“For the effective work of the district electoral commission, modern premises with all the necessary conveniences have been allocated, and means of communication and transport have been provided. At the first session of the commission, a work plan was approved, and tasks were distributed to its members. Appropriate tasks were specified relating to explanatory work among citizens, especially young people, about the electoral legislation and its significance,” says the chairman of Navoiy district electoral commission No 5, N.Isoqov.

At the session, the issue of forming electoral precincts was discussed. In accordance with the law “On elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, recommendations from town and district governorates and military unit commanders on forming electoral precincts were examined. In conformity with the requirements of the national electoral legislation, 363 electoral precincts have been formed in the region’s districts and towns. Modern buildings have been provided for precinct electoral commissions.

A press centre has been set up at the district electoral commission for coverage of the pace of the elections. Press conferences and briefings are being held with the participation of mass media employees.
