Mobil Mamedov: “The Uzbek language unites us all!”
21:18 / 2025-10-21

The 36th anniversary of the establishment of the Uzbek language as a state language is widely celebrated in Uzbekistan. Chairman of the Republican Azerbaijani National Cultural Center in Uzbekistan, Mobil Mamedov, stressed the importance of this holiday for the entire multinational people of the country.

“Today, the people of Uzbekistan celebrate with a deep sense of pride and respect a significant date – the 36th anniversary of the establishment of the Uzbek language as the state language”, said Mobil Mamedov. “This holiday symbolizes the spiritual rebirth, independence, and national identity of the Uzbek people. The Republican Azerbaijani National Cultural Center expresses its sincere respect and appreciation for the Uzbek language as a great symbol of the country’s statehood and cultural unity, and it is no coincidence that the festive events are being held under the motto “The Uzbek language unites us all!”.

Language is not just a means of communication; it is the soul of people, their history, traditions, and culture. Over the years of independence, Uzbekistan has achieved significant success in strengthening the position of the state language in all spheres of life – education, science, culture, media, and international relations. Today, the state language has become a unifying factor for all peoples and nationalities living in the blessed Uzbek land. All conditions have been created in the country for the harmonious coexistence and development of representatives of different cultures, including the Azerbaijani diaspora. We, the Azerbaijan people of Uzbekistan, are proud to speak, read, and create in Uzbek, which has become our native language. Our center actively participates in cultural and educational projects aimed at the development and popularization of the Uzbek language. We believe that knowledge and love of the state language is a sign of respect for the country in which we live and its people.

On this significant day, on behalf of the entire Azerbaijani community of Uzbekistan, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the country’s leadership for their attention to issues of culture, language, and interethnic harmony. We are proud to live in a country where unity in diversity has become a solid foundation for social development. May the Uzbek language continue to serve as a solid bridge of friendship and mutual understanding between peoples, uniting all citizens under the flag of peace, respect, and creativity!”
