On December 18 this year, students of the Faculty of Japanese Studies of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies were awarded certificates for Mitsubishi Corporation scholarship.

Within the framework of the signed agreement between TSUOS and Mitsubishi Corporation, 20 students of the faculty of Japanese Studies were awarded scholarships to pay for one semester contract of annually study.

General Manager of Mitsubishi Corporation Representative Office in Uzbekistan Yoichi Sano noted that corporation is implementing such a project in Uzbekistan for the first time. The corporation plans to continue its implementation with higher education institutions of the country, including TSUOS – one of the flagships of Japanese Studies in the region.

It was also noted that the university has repeatedly become a recipient of Japanese investments and grant funds, including Mitsubishi Corporation. However, this practice of cooperation, which provides for the payment of contracts for students training by foreign companies is being implemented at the university for the first time. The university plans to develop similar projects with major Korean and Chinese companies.
