Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov met with the Chief Executive Officer of Veon Group Kaan Terzioğlu.

At the meeting, which was also attended by former Serbian President Boris Tadić, the Minister noted the wide opportunities created in Uzbekistan for further development of the telecommunications services market, attracting investments in the sphere, in particular, the effective operation of mobile communication companies.

The parties exchanged views on the introduction of information and new mobile technologies and further development of cooperation. With the participation of the Veon Group, projects are being implemented to modernize equipment and create user amenities. The issue of direct participation of the Veon Group in the implementation of new projects was considered.
