The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov and President/CEO of Siemens Energy AG Christian Bruch have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a roadmap for the implementation of joint projects.

The parties are interested in the implementation of joint projects, the existing opportunities for enhancing strategic partnership in Uzbekistan.

Cooperation is planned in the organization of new production facilities, in the spheres of energy audit of production facilities and hydrogen energy, in the introduction of energy-saving technologies, in personnel training. The roadmap includes projects for the introduction of cogeneration technologies in heating boilers in the regions of the country on the principles of public-private partnership, as well as the construction of a new thermal power plant with a capacity of 1300-1600 MW, participation in the modernization of Khojaabad compressor station and the creation of innovative training centers.
