Qualified military personnel of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, who participated in the elimination of the earthquake consequences in Türkiye for 24 days, returned to Tashkent.

On February 8, a medical team of the Ministry of Defense, consisting of qualified military personnel, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev, departed for Türkiye to eliminate the consequences of a devastating earthquake and provide medical assistance to the victims.

Uzbekistan servicemen provided medical assistance to 3,860 citizens, of which 1,795 were men, 1,177 were women and 888 were children.

On March 6, the Deputy Minister of Defense and other officials, as well as representatives of the general public and the media met the medical team at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
