Ministries of Justice of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea expand cooperation

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ruslanbek Davletov met with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Korea Park Sang-ki.

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ruslanbek Davletov met with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Korea Park Sang-ki.

The delegation of the Republic of Korea arrived in Uzbekistan to exchange experience, become acquainted with activities of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation, including in the spheres of combating corruption, developing and examining normative-legal acts, training and advanced training of personnel, in particular, organizing internships in attracting foreign investment and improving the investment climate, quality and efficiency of legal services. The importance of developing a roadmap for implementation of joint projects in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries of November 23, 2017 was noted. According to the Uzbek side, the opening of representative offices of leading South Korean law firms in Uzbekistan will contribute to comprehensive protection of investors’ rights, improving the quality of the legal framework.

As reported by Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Justice, the delegation of the Republic of Korea expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan in the sphere of protection of human rights and legitimate interests, development of legislation.

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Korea Park Sang-ki praised the positive changes in activities of justice institutions of Uzbekistan, which contribute to their rapprochement with people, ensuring openness and transparency of their activities.
