On September 12, the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development Bakhtiyor Umarov met with the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Kovalchuk.

On September 12, the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development Bakhtiyor Umarov met with the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Kovalchuk.

At the meeting, the parties discussed current tourism issues in both countries. Sergey Kovalchuk informed about tourism trends typical for tourists visiting Belarus, about measures taken by the country’s leadership for increasing the flow of tourists.

Belarus mainly attracts tourists to business tourism, sports and medical tourism. Next year the Republic of Belarus holds the European Games from July 21 to July 30. Guests from 50 countries will come to this event.

As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development, within the framework of the forum of business and interregional cooperation, a Cooperation Program in Tourism Sphere between the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus for 2019-2020 was signed.
