The delegation led by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia - Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic held meetings in various ministries, agencies and educational institutions, in Uzbekistan.

At a meeting organized at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, the guests had a conversation with the Rector of the University, as well as the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Sadik Safayev.

The parties discussed issues of developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia in education and science, establishing an exchange of teachers and students, as well as strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.

The guests were informed about the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, including an important political process – a nationwide referendum on introducing amendments and additions to the Constitution, scheduled for April 30 this year.

Ivica Dacic highly appreciated the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan and the results achieved, noting that the Serbian side is interested in further deepening the partnership.
