During the ITB Berlin international tourism fair held this March in Germany, the delegation from Namangan region held a series of official meetings and negotiations.
Agreements were reached at the fair to promote Namangan’s rich historical and cultural heritage, increase international media coverage of the 3,000-year-old archaeological site Akhsikent and the 64th International Flower Festival, and attract foreign investments.
Furthermore, the Namangan delegation met with international tourism media partners at the fair. Specifically, plans were outlined for further cooperation with representatives of German companies BBC Global Media and Meso, as well as with media representatives and bloggers from British platforms The Wondering Englishman and Traveldave.co.uk, and Kazakhstan-based company Welcome.
During the ITB Berlin tourism fair, a meeting took place between Seychelles’ Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde, and Anvar Ikrom, Director of Namangan’s archaeological museum Akhsikent. The parties discussed tourism development, textile exports, and investment cooperation.
They also explored opportunities for exporting textile products manufactured in Namangan to 700 hotels and 2,000 guesthouses across the Seychelles and attracting tourists from Seychelles to Namangan’s 64th International Flower Festival. Minister Radegonde announced his intention to visit Namangan region with an official delegation in May 2025.
