Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev held a virtual meeting with FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu.

The Minister of Agriculture discussed and agreed with the FAO Director-General the plans for 2021 outlined in the roadmap.

The FAO Director-General confirmed that FAO welcomes Uzbekistan’s active participation in the Food Summit and looks forward to the Minister’s coordination as Chair of the Regional Conference for Europe.

Following the meeting, FAO’s Director-General Qu Dongyu and Uzbekistan’s Minister for Agriculture Jamshid Khodjayev signed an agreement for establishing the Uzbekistan Lounge at FAO’s headquarters in Rome.
