Minister for Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan to hold negotiations in Astana
The Minister for Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev will hold negotiations with the Director-General of the World Trade Organization Roberto Azevêdo within the framework of the High-Level Forum on “Trade and Investment Facilitation for Development: A Eurasian Perspective”, in Astana.
On September 28, 2018, the Minister for Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev will hold negotiations with the Director-General of the World Trade Organization Roberto Azevêdo within the framework of the High-Level Forum on “Trade and Investment Facilitation for Development: A Eurasian Perspective”, in Astana.
The aim of the forum is to support dialogue on new WTO rules in the field of investment promotion, the Press Service of the Ministry for Foreign Trade reports.
The resumption of the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO is indicated by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the Actions Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021 as one of the key directions of the country’s development in trade and economic areas.
