The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a solemn event on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Defender of the Motherland Day.

It was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, deputies of the Oliy Majlis, members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, military personnel, representatives of public organizations and journalists.

At the event, it was noted that the national army was provided with modern weapons and military equipment. A unique system of military-administrative sectors was created, which served to enhance the role of public authorities in strengthening the country's defense.

By the Presidential Decree “On awarding a group of servicemen and employees of law enforcement bodies on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Defender of the Motherland Day” of January 12, 2021, the awarding ceremony of servicemen for great merits in strengthening the country’s independence, increasing its defense power and military capabilities, ensuring the security of the state and inviolability of borders, formation of a professional national army and increasing its credibility took place. They were awarded “Fidokorona Khizmatlari Uchun”, II degree “Shon-Sharaf”, “Dustlik”, “Mardlik” orders, as well as “Jasorat”, “Sodiq Khizmatlari Uchun”, “Soglom Turmush” and “Shukhrat” medals.
