MIFT: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan to enhance investment, trade, economic and interregional partnership

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, in Nur-Sultan.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for enhancing trade, economic, investment, industrial and interregional cooperation between the two countries.

The parties emphasized the intensive nature of the development of economic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, expressed interest in the implementation of new joint projects and initiatives.

The progress of implementation of individual projects was considered, mechanisms for resolving existing issues were developed and further steps were identified for practical assistance in their timely implementation.

The parties paid special attention to the development of interregional cooperation as an important component of the economic agenda of bilateral partnership.

Following the meeting, a format for further interaction was agreed upon to implement the agreements reached and to identify new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
