The First Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with the Chair of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee David McAllister.

According to MIFT, the parties discussed the current state of trade, economic, investment, financial and technical cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.

Issues of interaction to accelerate the preparation and signing of the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization and the expansion of the use of EU GSP+ preferences were considered.

The parties also exchanged views on the organization of the 5th meeting of the Working Group on Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.
