mGovAward identifies its winners

The awarding ceremony of mGovAward winners has taken place via videoconference.

The awarding ceremony of winners of mGovAward competition for development of the best state mobile application among students of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan has taken place via videoconference.

The competition, organized by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, Development of Information Technologies and Communications together with IT Park and the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future of the United Arab Emirates, received 260 applications. 97 works were selected among them. 7 teams that developed mobile applications in education, health, tourism and business development reached the final.

Sahiya app, designed to help people with disabilities is one of the projects that has reached the final stage. This application program is based on a system that works with machine learning and artificial intelligence.

The Robotech application, designed for downloading video tutorials and tests in English and used in distance learning, allows schoolchildren, students and others who want to learn language remotely use necessary interactive educational materials.

Imam Bukhari mobile app developers, intended for foreign and local tourists who are going to visit sacred places of worship in Uzbekistan also received a ticket to the final stage of the competition.

This unique app shows location of these objects in a particular city and plots a route to them. It also determines the location of the nearest hotel and catering establishments. At the same time, a tourist can easily find the way to them using GPS navigation.

Following the results, Robotech app development team was recognized as the winner. The second place was taken by Imam Bukhari project, and the third place by Sahiya application.
