The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan hosted a working meeting with the British Embassy representatives.

The parties discussed issues related to the development of Uzbekistan – British cooperation in the political, trade and economic spheres, as well as the implementation of promising joint projects in various areas.

The meeting participants confirmed the importance of holding a high-level celebration of the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and the UK.

A thorough exchange of views took place on regional security in the context of countering international terrorism. The British side confirmed its commitment to further close coordination of efforts on Afghanistan with an emphasis on humanitarian assistance to the neighboring state.
