Mergantex LLC in Bukhara region’s Alat district is one of the largest clusters, where all production processes are covered, from the primary processing of raw cotton to the sewing of ready-made clothes.

The cluster, which employs 880 people, processes 30 thousand tons of raw cotton per year. Last year, products worth 240 billion UZS were produced, the volume of exports amounted to more than $6 million.

Next year, the cluster plans to launch the production of ready-made natural and chemical fibers. It is expected that this company, the launch cost of which amounted to $25 million, will be able to increase its exports to $30 million and create another thousand new jobs.
