Mental health service develops in Uzbekistan

Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Asilbek Khudayarov met with the Chairman of International Hospitals Group, Chester King.

According to the Ministry of Health, issues related to the implementation of the project “Creating an outpatient hospital that meets international standards” in the field of psychiatric care, in particular, the concept of a modern “smart hospital”, the introduction of digital management systems, staff training, and contemporary management, were discussed at the meeting.

International Hospitals Group is the UK’s leading international medical infrastructure company. It has extensive experience in designing and building outpatient clinics, and is active in the Middle East, Kazakhstan, and other countries.

Chester King visited psychiatric and drug treatment services in Tashkent and Tashkent region and positively assessed the work conducted in Uzbekistan in the field of mental health.

An agreement was reached to improve the quality of medical services in this area, provide the population with modern and effective medical care, and sustainably develop mental health services in Uzbekistan, with the involvement of British specialists.

The company’s head also stated his willingness to cooperate not only with the government, but also with non-governmental medical institutions in Uzbekistan.
