At the academic lyceum under the Tashkent medical academy, a moral enlightenment event has been held on the subject of honouring soldiers’ mothers on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the country and 14 January – Motherland Defenders Day.

M.Rasulova, the chairwoman of the Olmazor district women’s committee and deputy hokim (governor) of the district; A.Sayfiddinov, the chief of the district department of defence; A.Shermurodov, the director of the academic lyceum under the Tashkent medical academy; and others said that reforms implemented in the Armed Forces under the leadership of the country’s First President were giving great results. Doing military service devotedly for the Motherland is a duty of honour for young people today.

“Serving in the ranks of the army is a sacred duty of every young man. My son Muhammadjon is doing his manly duty in Surkhondaryo Region. I am proud of my son. In my view, such an emotion is genuinely felt by every mother naturally. Recently we visited the military unit where my son is serving. We were glad to see that all the necessary conditions had been created there for our sons to be physically strong and morally mature,” says teacher Nigora Ismanova.

During the gathering, letters of gratitude sent to the parents of soldiers doing fixed-term military service in an exemplary manner were read out. Memorable gifts were presented to soldiers’ mothers.
