The meetings of the working bodies of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States were held via videoconference.

They were attended by members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as more than ten experts and legislators.

The Chairman of the Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms, Erkin Gadoyev, took part in the meeting of the Budgetary Control Commission.

Commission members exchanged information on the laws adopted by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly member states on the State budget for the following year. Opinions were expressed regarding draft laws on the financial aspects of the activities of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security Issues Qutbiddin Burkhanov took part in the meeting of the Standing Commission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on Defense and Security Issues.

The participants discussed recommendations for improving legal regulation in suppressing illegal activities in the water area and the work of the border authorities of the CIS member states in the fight against terrorism.

The commissions of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly summed up the results of their activities in 2023 and decided to implement the work plan and the action plan for 2024.
