Meetings of the European Union experts
On May 22, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the delegation led by the head of the working group of the Council of the European Union for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (COEST) Jutta Edthofer.
On May 22, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the delegation led by the head of the working group of the Council of the European Union for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (COEST) Jutta Edthofer.Members of the delegation noted the recent positive changes in the country aimed at ensuring the rule of law, justice and human rights protection.
The meeting was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. The sides discussed current issues of cooperation. In particular, issues of attracting foreign experts to the process of developing and implementing the concept of further improving the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, provision of notarial public services, and skills of national staff on the basis of studying foreign experience and practice in these areas were considered.
The experts of the European Union also held negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Investments, the National Center for Human Rights, the Committee for Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the meetings, prospects of development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union, implementation of agreements reached at various levels were discussed.
