On September 26, meetings with the delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan led by the Chairman of the Senate of the parliament of this country Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev were held at the Senate and the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting with the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Yuldoshev, it was noted that as a result of regular meetings of the heads of the two states, relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan based on mutual trust and interest, open dialogue, reached a qualitatively new level.

This visit of the delegation of Kazakhstan’s parliament is held in accordance with the memorandum signed by the upper chambers of parliaments of the two countries during the state visit of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazakhstan in March this year. Negotiations and meetings of the delegation will contribute to further development of relations of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, deepening of cooperation between the parliaments of our countries.

The sides exchanged views on current state and prospects of further development of inter-parliamentary relations, trade, economic and investment cooperation.

During the meeting with Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Ismoilov, large-scale reforms implemented in all spheres of our country's life in accordance with the Strategy of actions on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 were noted.

Relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries are actively developing, exchange of parliamentary delegations facilitates their further strengthening.

At the event the guests were told about activities of the bicameral parliament of Uzbekistan. Views were exchanged on issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The delegation of Kazakhstan’s parliament visited the Mustakillik square, laid flowers at the foot of the symbol of our freedom, bright future and noble aspirations – to the monument of Independence and Humanism, visited the sights of Tashkent.
