It was noted that the dynamic development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan based on friendship, good-neighborliness and mutual trust, strengthening inter-parliamentary relations serve to further expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Development of cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic in all areas, including in the sphere of parliamentarism, is one of the priorities of foreign policy of Uzbekistan. This visit of the parliamentary delegation of Kyrgyzstan is a practical result of strengthening the inter-parliamentary dialogue and agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to this country in September this year.

At the meeting, the current state, prospects for further development and deepening of relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries, as well as trade and economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation were discussed.

After the meeting, the sides expressed confidence that the visit of the parliamentary delegation of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan, the planned negotiations and meetings contribute to further development and strengthening cooperation between our countries.

At the meeting with the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a dynamic pace of development of relations between the legislative bodies was noted, plans on adoption of normative legal acts aimed at strengthening bilateral relations in trade-economic, socio-political spheres were discussed.

At the event, guests were provided with information on activities of the lower chamber of parliament, innovations in the legislation of our country. Views were exchanged on further intensifying inter-parliamentary cooperation and the main areas of bilateral cooperation for the future.

Within the framework of the visit of the delegation of Kyrgyzstan, the Plan of practical measures (“road map”) on development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic was signed.

The parliamentary delegation visited the Mustakillik square, laid flowers at the Monument of Independence and Humanism, which is a symbol of freedom, bright future and noble aspirations of our people. The guests got acquainted with the exhibition on “Chingiz Aytmatov and Uzbekistan” at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek and the historical and spiritual monuments of the Khazrati Imam complex.
