Warsaw hosted high-level meetings of heads of national human rights institutions from the OSCE region.
According to the Press Service of the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights (Ombudsman), the meeting, organized by the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE/ODIHR), was attended by the heads of more than 60 national human rights institutions, representatives of intergovernmental organizations.

The Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Feruza Eshmatova also took part in the high-level meeting and informed the participants about the experience of Uzbekistan in ensuring human rights, the reform to improve the activities of the Ombudsman and the work carried out in cooperation with the parliament.

The participants were informed about the study of the sustainability of national human rights institutions, raising awareness on the use of the ODIHR-developed guidance on strengthening the sustainability of national human rights institutions, studying international best practices, strengthening cooperation and developing innovative approaches to support national human rights institutions under threat.
