On September 27, a meeting with members of Denmark delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was held at the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On September 27, a meeting with members of Denmark delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was held at the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, members of the delegation received detailed information about large-scale reforms being carried out in the country, principles and approaches in implementing foreign policy with Central Asian countries.
Representatives of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly noted that in Uzbekistan a number of measures are being taken on introducing an effective management system, positive results have been achieved in ensuring the rule of law, human rights and freedoms. Introduction of universally recognized principles of counteraction to any manifestations of violent extremism and radicalism in society was highly appreciated.
As it was noted, Uzbekistan’s pragmatic and constructive domestic and foreign policy contributes to strengthening the country’s image.
The need for comprehensive strengthening and development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE was noted at the event.
The Denmark delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly led by Peter Juel-Jensen visited the Development Strategy Center.
Information was provided on activities of the center, reforms in socio-political and economic spheres of the country.
The sides exchanged views on such areas of activity as ensuring the rule of law, turning citizens into full-fledged participants in reforms that are taking place in society.
