Tashkent City Hokimiyat hosted a meeting with a delegation led by the Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg Oleg Ergashev. Tashkent City Hokim Shavkat Umurzakov, deputy hokims, and officials in medicine and education attended it.

It was emphasized that the openness policy of the heads of the two states created an opportunity for establishing large-scale cooperation between the city of Tashkent and the regions of the Russian Federation. The need to use this opportunity effectively was also noted.

The expediency of enhancing interaction in the social, economic, investment, business, and industrial spheres was emphasized.

The Vice-Governor, expressing satisfaction with the visit to Tashkent, offered to cooperate on many new projects in the future. In particular, he said that Russian specialists in pediatrics and oncology will be sent to Uzbekistan to exchange experience in the coming days.
