Meeting with the U.S. State Department delegation

On July 23, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Henry Ensher, who arrived in Tashkent as the head of the delegation to attend the meeting of the Working Group on Security of representatives of the five Central Asian countries and the United States ("C5+1").

Practical issues of implementing the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the U.S. in May this year and negotiations with President Donald Trump, other key persons of the Administration and Congress were discussed at the meeting.

The sides also exchanged views on some issues of international and regional policy in the context of the agenda of the meeting of the above-mentioned Working Group of the "C5+1" format.

The meeting was attended by the U.S. Ambassador Pamela Spratlen.
