Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orynbaev met with the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
At the meeting, it was noted that the scale of trade turnover between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan is growing, as well as ties in culture, tourism, sports, science, and education are strengthening. 2.5 thousand Uzbekistan students are studying in higher education institutions in Tatarstan.

It was also noted that last year, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan amounted to $370 million, an increase of 27 percent. The need to continue work to increase the volumes and types of mutual supplies of goods and services was emphasized. There is every opportunity for this. Issues related to implementing practical cooperation projects in several vital areas and further strengthening close partnerships were discussed. In this regard, a dialogue was held on the construction of a technology park in cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan and on creating a technical school for training engineers in Nukus.

In addition, it was noted that the Republic of Karakalpakstan is a region with great potential. Views on beneficial cooperation on new projects and strengthening partnerships in several areas were exchanged. Of course, these dialogues and agreements are of great importance for both sides and serve to strengthen relations between the countries and the development of Uzbekistan.

On this day, the Karakalpakstan delegation became acquainted with the activities of production and service enterprises in Tatarstan.
