On May 19, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan – Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov met with the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) Zarina Doguzova, in Tashkent.

According to the Russian Embassy in Uzbekistan, the parties discussed the current state of the tourism industries of the two countries.

The parties also discussed the possibility of creating newly combined and optimizing existing tourist routes, including the launching of additional trains.

It is important to note that the travel exchange between Uzbekistan and Russia has been restored by 70 percent after the pandemic, and the number of direct bilateral flights has increased to 100 per week.

Moreover, it was decided to organize a Youth Tourism Forum with the participation of the regions of the two countries, and it is also planned to organize a campaign “Uzbekistan through the eyes of Russian photographers and artists”.
